Happy Easter!

Posted by Kerrin Brookes on

Spring has finally sprung!

After a challenging winter, I’m so glad to feel the warmth of the sun again. There are signs of new life everywhere: flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and the world is once more flooded with colour.

There is a magic in the air that is always so keenly felt around Easter; an earnest, breathless anticipation of spring, the joyful, sun-drenched childhood days spent traipsing through fresh blooms in search of colourful eggs, time spent with family, and of course, chocolate.

I remember the freedom, the exhilaration I felt, being back in a world so full of promise and wonder after the long dullness of winter, surrounded by those I love.

As we head into this special stage of the year, of rebirth, exploration, and celebration, mark the occasion with handmade gifts from the Easter bunny that your smallest loved ones will treasure with delight and awe.

This beautiful lace basket would make a unique seasonal decoration, or a very special vessel for chocolate eggs.

This elegant decoration is a stunning accompaniment to any Easter egg; what better finishing touch for a hand-dyed keepsake?

Finally, check out my article, Wonderful World of Flowers, in the March/April edition of Designs in Machine Embroidery Magazine.

Until next time,

Kerrin
